Learn about Drumline
Drumline is percussion set to motion utilizing all varieties of percussion instruments. The participants tell a story through their movements.
In addition to the performance aspects, being a member of Drumline does more for the students than just teach them about percussion. Students learn teamwork, dedication, and commitment -- all skills they will utilize throughout their life.

Pledges
Our booster organization, Panther Band Parents, is a nonprofit corporation which helps provide support and funding beyond what the school system provides. Due to the difficulty in raising the large sums of money required to maintain a successful and active program, each student is asked to pay pledges to cover their "fair share" of the program expenses.
All pledges paid to Panther Band Parents are tax deductible.
Pledges due will appear on your student account statement. The boosters and student leadership have arranged several current and upcoming fundraising opportunities for students to earn money for their student account. (Check out the Fund Raising page for more details.) Student Account credits may be used to pay current or future pledges.
Material & Lab Pledge
All students enrolled in the Instrumental Music Department are asked to pay an annual $75.00 Materials & Lab Pledge. This pledge is used to offset the cost of maintaining, repairing, and purchasing instruments and equipment. If you have already paid this pledge for the 2007/2008 school year through participation in another ensemble, you do not need to pay it again. (See below for payment coupon and instructions.)
Drumline Participation Pledge
Participation pledges for the 2006 Drumline season were $1,750.00 for each Drumline member. Pledges cover all regular drumline program expenses, including travel to World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. Pledges may be paid all at once, or on a payment schedule. (See below for payment coupons and instructions.)

2006 Drumline Show - "Icarus"
The 2006 NPHS show, titled “Icarus”, is an original composition written and arranged
specifically for this year’s group by Bill Garcia, with assistance from his staff. The
show is based on the Greek myth, and includes 10 ft. tall Grecian columns (built by the
parents), toga garbed performers, and a narrator who ultimately dons wings and flies too
close to the sun, with the same tragic result as in the myth.

2005 Drumline Show - "Vanity"
The 2005 Drumline show, "Vanity", is based on the theme of a woman and her
peers looking at themselves in the mirror.
A mirror on wheels played a major part in
the original production -- music composed by Bill Garcia, and movements choreographed
by Dawn Garcia and Jessica Sapinoso. The use of the snare drum, the marimba, and
other percussion instruments helped enhance the Vanity theme.
