SCRIP IS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE!

The Scrip program is where parents purchase gift cards from the Band in advance that can be used like cash. Scrip can be purchased for a whole list of stores/service providers (groceries, gas, Starbucks, Borders, etc.) through the Great Lakes Scrip company. A percentage of the cost for these cards is rebated back to the student's Individual Student Account (ISA).

Through the help of Pam Winter, Scrip is now available through three different ways:

• You may purchase Albertsons, Starbucks and iTunes from Pam Winter every Wednesday morning or when you see her at major Band events.
• You may download the paper Scrip form (04/06/11) and turn it in with your payment (cash/check) to Pam Winter on Wednesdays or when you see her at major Band events.
• You may now purchase scrip online.

Online Enrollment Procedure

• Visit shopwithscrip.com.
• Use the Great Lakes Scrip Family User Guide to help you register.
• Select the CREATE ACCOUNT button in the green FAMILY SIGN UP box in the left column.
• During this process you will need the Enrollment Code: 5485B9LE19955 (links your account to NPHS Band)
• Complete the registration and return to shopwithscrip.com.
• Enter your username and password in the orange MEMBER'S LOGIN box in the left column.
• If you wish to pay online, select the PRESTOPAY link in the left column and complete the registration.

Weekly Ordering Procedure

• Parents will submit online orders and paper orders (and payments for both) to Pam Winter by midnight each Sunday (PrestoPay orders do not apply).
• Use the Great Lakes Scrip Family User Guide to help you place orders.
• Pam will combine all orders not paid through PrestoPay and submit them to Great Lakes Scrip by Monday morning.
• Great Lakes Scrip will send scrip orders to Pam Winter within 7-8 days via FedEx.
• Scrip will be available for pickup from Pam on the sidewalk adjacent to the parking lot on Wednesday morning the following week.

Order Tracking and Accounting

• Parents may track online orders paid through PrestoPay online.
• All other orders are tracked by Pam Winter.
• Credits to ISA accounts are recorded on an online document (select the DOWNLOAD link in the middle of the screen) that was developed by Pam Winter and is updated regularly.

What's the upside?

Parents already spend money at local merchants anyway. The cost of the Scrip is the exact amount available on the cards to purchase groceries, merchandise and tunes, so there is no "convenience fee." AND, the student's ISA account gets credited a percentage of the total cost of the card. Such a deal!
